ALBAWABA -  Footage has circulated on social media platforms of Tom Dodd, Britain’s deputy head of mission in Russia, assaulting and attacking several Russian journalists.

The incident took place at Moscow's Vnukovo airport and showed Tom Dodd being aggressive with several journalists and reporters at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport.

According to Russian state media RT, the British diplomat acted aggressively with the reporters after they asked him many uncomfortable questions.

Dodd landed in Moscow along with other officials including the head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate (EECAD), Christopher Allan.

The British delegation went for the exit but was followed by many Russian journalists who started asking loads of questions. Some reporters brought up the "spy scandal which resulted in the expulsion of six British officials."

A video emerged online of Tom Dodd trying to grab cameras from the Russian journalists, ripping an ID off the neck of one, as well as rudely trying to move a woman out of his way to continue walking.

Activists on social media condemned the behavior of the British diplomat. One said: "Wow. How undiplomatic of him!"

Another wrote: "Maybe this "diplomat" should be persona non grata?" Furthermore, a comment read: "Yeah british are not used anymore to free press"

On the other hand, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has strongly slammed the Moscow airport incident.
