ALBAWABA - Controversial US Senator Ted Cruz is under fire across social media after taking to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and posting a "racist" meme following three laughing emojis angering many users on the platform.
Users on X took to the comment section to debate the issue at hand and said things like "It's not really funny Ted" and "Decline is a choice. Shame on you, lying Ted."
On the other hand, others in the comment section agreed with Ted Cruz's "racist meme" with some saying "Well, you're not wrong and "Sad but true. I am hearing so much worse though!"
The post in question was a meme of two cats hugging each other with a sentence urging Cruz's followers to "Vote for Trump" so that the "Haitian Immigrants" don't eat their pets, referring to claims circulating that some of the 20,000 Haitian immigrants who moved to Ohio are reportedly killing and feasting on citizens' pets including cats and dogs.

Another user added, "Do you guys all get on a morning call to pick which immigrant nationality to focus on that day?
Friday: Venezuelans. Monday: Haitians. I mean…"
More people took to the comment section and reminded Ted Cruz about the time he allegedly left his pet dog Snowball in the house alone in 2021 and went on a trip to Cancun, Mexico.
According to Springfield News-Sun, local police claimed that the news about Haitian immigrants eating and killing animals in Ohio was false and that it's "not something that’s on their radar right now."
This all came after a citizen took to Facebook and posted something about their neighbor's cat being stolen then found it later hanging at a Haitian neighbor's home being readied up to be eaten, without providing any evidence but the damage was already done because the post went viral.
Other than Ted Cruz, Tesla, and X owner Elon Musk also wrote, "Vote for Kamala if you want this to happen to your neighborhood!" sharing a similar meme format with an AI-generated image of a kitten and duckling sitting next to each other instead.
