ALBAWABA - During an interview with TCN's Tucker Carlson, US Senator Ted Cruz recently sparked debate on social media after a clip revealed him stating that the US will reportedly carry out military strikes against Iran today, despite the country's officials denying it.

Carlson was showering Cruz with factual questions about Iran, including its population and ethnic mix, which he failed to answer. Additionally, Carlson then said, "How did you not know that?" to which Cruz replied, "I don't go around memorizing population tables."

The interview escalated when Tucker Carlson stated that this information is relevant because Cruz is calling for the overthrow of the Iranian government. The heated debate continued as both parties touched on subjects regarding claims that Iran is planning to murder US President Donald Trump.

Carlson then said, " You don't believe they are trying to murder Donald Trump... because you're not calling for military strikes against them in retaliation."

Ted Cruz then replied, "Yes, I do! WE are carrying out military strikes against Iran today."

The US Senator corrected himself later, stating that Israel is attacking with the help of the US, despite Carlson bringing up reports about the US having no ties to the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran. Carlson then said that the US government, speaking for Trump, denied that the country is acting on behalf of Israel in any way.

According to Tucker Carlson's X account (formerly known as Twitter), the full interview is scheduled to drop tomorrow, but snippets of it have already flooded social media.
