ALBAWABA - A horrific crime took place in the city of Izmir where a Turkish man killed his former fiancé and then committed suicide, local media reported.
Gazete3 revealed that Necat Y., 35, who lives in Yeni Mahalle, blocked the way of his ex-fiancé Selen S., 41, and her mother Medine Serpil K., 70, at the entrance of their building and opened fire.
According to Turkish media, the shooting led to the death of the woman and the injury of her mother.
Police and medical teams confirmed that Selen S. had died at the scene and that her mother was taken to the hospital for medical care.
Necat Y. and Selen S. were engaged but they split up a while ago, and they fought frequently before he committed his crime.
Hurriyet website also mentioned that after killing his former fiance and injuring her mother, the Turkish man committed suicide in the Çiğli district of İzmir.
The incident occurred on April 4 at around 17:30 local time in the Yeni Mahalle Neighborhood in Izmir city.
