ALBAWABA - Following the ban of OnlyFans, which is an internet website that provides subscription services by sex workers for users. Turkey jailed a 25-year-old influencer for its strict law of allowing adult content in the country.
The influencer in question is 25-year-old Gizem Bagdacicek, she was taken into custody amid posting footage on her account after Turkey implemented the total ban of OnlyFans following a police investigation of the content she posted on the platform.
The issue came into existence when her content started spreading to other social media platforms which can be concerning as OnlyFans isn't a kid-friendly website which could result in children consuming the adult content.
The footage leaked after one of her 160 subscribers shared the content without her permission, Gizem told the police.
When did Turkey ban OnlyFans?

According to Dexerto, Turkey banned OnlyFans back in June 2023 amid growing concerns over the country's morals because of the adult content its users produce daily.
In an article by The Daily Star, Gizem allegedly told the police: “I am ‘avocadogreenii1’ on Twitter. I own the account named user. I occasionally share posts about my daily life on this account. Sometimes these posts include images of me in underwear and doing sports.”
additionally, she told them “I opened an account on a social media platform about six months ago. This platform is where users become paid members using their credentials and follow their account holders by paying a fee.
This platform does not accept users under the age of 18. I shared my images with approximately 160 followers on this platform. The images you have shown me belong to me. However, I shared these images with only 160 of my followers.”
The OnlyFans model will take legal action
The model continued to claim that she hadn't posted anything on OnlyFans after Turkey banned the platform and stated that she would be taking legal action against whoever used her footage without her consent.
