ALBAWABA - The official account of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on X, formerly Twitter, shared a screenshot of an alleged email by Hamas leader Yayha Sinwar with the subject "Hamas' Absence on Human Rights Day".

The alleged email quotes Al Sinwar emailing the UN Human Rights Council saying: "I am writing to you regarding Human Rights Day. Unfortunately, my team and I will not be able to participate due to prior commitments".

The IDF post said: This isn’t spam mail. Gazans deserve human rights and as long as Hamas rules over them, they won’t let it happen"

The post sparked a wave of ridicule across social media users who trolled the IDF post, saying that the email used unprofessional language, as the choice of words sounded "funny" to some. One user said: "Yes, sure, and an alien is drinking tea with me at this moment..".

Others mocked the use of the word "terrorists", as they believe that Al Sinwar won't choose to describe Hamas fighters as terrorists. "You’re trying too hard. Had it been a real email sent by a Palestinian, he would’ve said Hamas and not “Terrorists” I still can’t believe that your propaganda is most likely written by a 5th grader" one user said.

Al Sinwar, as Israel calls him the "Mastermind of Hamas", has been playing a vital role in the talks between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, and made the final decision in the temporary truce that took place in the previous weeks.
