ALBAWABA - An alleged video circulating on social media went viral after showing a Hijabi "Palestinian soldier" sitting next to an "Israeli soldier" wearing a Jewish Kuppa with users on X (formerly known as Twitter) claiming that she's serving in the Israeli Army.
Despite speculations from users across X who claimed that she's an "Arab-Israeli Muslim who proudly serves in the IDF due to Israel giving her rights," an investigation by Al Hurra News proved that the speculations in question are reportedly false.
Truth behind video of Palestinian soldier with Israeli comrade
According to the investigation made by Al Hurra News, the woman is called Maysa Ouza who is the first-ever female soldier in the US Air Force to wear a hijab, accompanied by fellow soldier Joe Hackheiser who happens to be Jewish but not Israeli.
The video in question is not recent as it was first shared on social media in 2021 to showcase their friendship through a funny clip.
It gained traction recently due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, which resulted in the killing of at least 40,000 Palestinians and injuring more than 93,000 as well.

Hamas announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel making it the biggest offensive by the group in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip, captured military bases, and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel while others were seen paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
