ALBAWABA - Former president of the United States Donald Trump took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to state his opinion about the ongoing boycotts and profit loss Anheuser-Busch's Bud Light is facing since its controversial 2023 ad.

According to The Guardian, the ad in question caused boycotts across the nation amid featuring trans influencer, Dylan Mulvaney which caused sales to drop by 25 percent in 2023! The boycotts of Bud Light and Budweiser mostly came from conservative Americans which benefited other competitors of the beer company such as Modelo Especial which received a 10.2 percent profit raise.

In a Truth Social post made by Trump on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, the former president described the beer brand as a “Great American Brand” and added that Bud Light “perhaps deserves a Second Chance,” causing controversy across social media outlets with users demanding an apology from the company:

"Just another sign Trump surrounds himself with morons who can't read the room.  Sorry, the Bud Light boycott will continue until they officially apologize.  I don't care how much they donate to your campaign."

On the other hand, several users stood with Trump's comment about the beer company with Caitlyn Jenner being first and saying

"As someone that worked for this incredible American company, and got to know them very well, I raced for Anheuser-Busch in the 80’s I agree with Donald Trump," by tagging both official accounts on X.
