ALBAWABA - During a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where they discussed the US and Israel’s plan to take over Gaza from displaced Palestinians, Donald Trump became the talk of social media.

Trump said during the press conference, "The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too. We'll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site..."

"This is ethnic cleansing, plain and simple."

"It was always a genocide. It was always ethnic cleansing. It was always an occupation. All paid for by our tax dollars. Our government is complicit."

Trump hotel and casino in Gaza? Image sparks outrage

An image circulating on Musk's X (formerly Twitter) depicting Trump's hotel built on Gaza's rubble sparked widespread outrage and concern from human rights activists, recalling the 15 months of war that resulted in the killing of at least 62,000 Palestinians and the injuring of more than 111,000 injured.

Several Americans took to the post's comment section and expressed their concern over where their tax dollars are going. Here's what they had to say:

"What happened to America first? That lasted 3 weeks huh."

"My tax dollars didn't approve of this."

A user on X wrote, "Trump Hotel and Casino in Gaza is coming soon," following an AI-generated picture of a hotel built around destroyed buildings and rubble. The image, generated using X's Grok AI, showcased a slim building with "Trump" placed on it in caps.

The account didn't stop there. It started incorporating ideas from fellow users by adding a McDonald's chain and a Buc-ee's convenience store.

According to the UN, more than 60,000 structures were destroyed and 20,000 were left severely damaged after 15 months of grueling bombings and destruction which reached its end after a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel was reached.
