ALBAWABA - Four Israeli girls, who appeared in a dancing video on TikTok, sparked fuss online after Israelis claimed they were civilians held by Hamas on Oct. 7.

The story of the four Israeli girls resurfaced online after the Daily Mail released a new article after speaking with their families.

Under the headline "EXCLUSIVEThe faces of the girls STILL being held by Hamas as their families make a desperate plea for their release three months after they were captured," the British newspaper reported that the four Israelis are still held by Al-Qassam Brigades.

The four Israelis were identified as Liri Albag, 18, and 19-year-olds Karina Ariev, Daniela Gilboa and Agam Berger, according to both Daily Mail and The Times of Israel. However, pro-Palestinian activists revealed that both newspapers forgot to mention a small detail, the four Israeli girls were all soldiers.

An activist said on X (formerly Twitter): "All 4 are *IDF surveillance soldiers* at the Nahal Oz military base & were captured there; a small detail not mentioned once in the article..."

Various discussions emerged online after an old TikTok video showing the girls dancing while dressing in military uniforms denying narratives released by Daily Mail and The Times of Israel that they were "civilians".

Since the start of the Israeli aggression against Gaza, at least 23,210 people have been killed in the strip, while a total of 59,167 people have been wounded, the Gaza Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.
