ALBAWABA - A disease that goes by the name of Havana Syndrome is trending across social media platforms after CBS News' 60 minutes political show went into detail about the mystery behind it and the symptoms.

According to CBS, experts received new evidence suggesting that Russia had something to do with the mysterious disease and that the Vietnamese were given the power to develop Havana Syndrome which could've caused the symptoms.

The study went on to add that several political figures including Vice President Kamala Harris were injured in 2021 with the Havana Syndrome during her trip to Hanoi, Vietnam which raised further questions across the nation and social media.

What is Havana Syndrome and is Russia behind the mysterious disease?

The symptoms behind the injury include nausea, dizziness, migraines, and problems with vision and hearing that can persist over a long period and experts of 60 Minutes claimed that symptoms occur from "Targeted sonic or microwave attacks".

After five years of investigation, experts at the 60 Minutes show had a lot to say:

The Insider and Der Spiegel concluded that Russia's GRU Unit 29155 could be behind the symptoms caused by the Syndrome. According to Axios the name of the syndrome came after American officials fell ill.

During the show, experts added that Vietnam had something to do with it as well as mentioned above for spying on the US government. Additionally, the experts also claimed that Vietnam possibly didn't know that the technology used could have caused the symptoms mentioned above.
