ALBAWABA - Hamas reaffirmed its firm stance against displacement during the handover of three Israeli captives to the International Committee of the Red Cross. The movement emphasized that the exchange deal is a testament to the unity between the Palestinian people and their resistance.
In an official statement, Hamas asserted, "Our people, our nation, and the world are witnessing the strength demonstrated in this prisoner exchange, which embodies the solidarity of our resistance and our cause."
The movement also addressed recent calls for the forced displacement of Palestinians, particularly in response to proposals put forward by former U.S. President Donald Trump. Hamas strongly rejected such plans, stating, "We tell the world—there is no migration except to Jerusalem. This is our direct response to Trump's displacement agenda and those who support his policies."
The statement, reported by Cairo News, comes amid ongoing discussions surrounding ceasefire agreements and potential prisoner exchanges between Hamas and Israel.
In preparation for the sixth round of the prisoner exchange under the first stage of the ceasefire agreement, fighters from the Islamic Jihad Movement's military branch, Al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades, have assembled in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. The transfer will be supervised by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
One of the Israeli prisoners, Sagi Dekel Han, will get a gold necklace as a present for his newborn daughter, who was born four months after his abduction, according to a source within Al-Qassam, as reported by Al Jazeera journalist Hani Al-Sha'er. It is anticipated that the released inmates would address the media in Hebrew.
