ALBAWABA - Allegations have been spreading on social media claiming that Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, who's known to be a top ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is suffering from a 'deadly disease'.
The rumor began to spread on media websites that are anti-Russia allegedly saying that the Kremlin is now searching for a successor to replace Kadyrov in order to ensure stability in the region.
Novaya Gazeta Europe posted the news citing medical sources who claimed that the Chechen president was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis in 2019, and his condition has worsened in recent months.
The sources also claimed that he also likely suffered acute kidney failure, with fluid accumulating in his lungs.
However, Kadyrov's Telegram account released a video of the Chechen president while chairing a meeting in the capital, Grozny, however, many noticed that he looked weak and stuttered in his speech raising questions about the truth behind the rumor circulating his health.
Who is Ramzan Kadyrov's successor?
Novaya Gazeta Europe didn't mention any suggested person to be the replacement of Ramzan Kadyrov, however, social media users are allegedly reporting that his successor is expected to be the commander of the Akhmat Chechen special forces, Apti Alaudinov.
