ALBAWABA - Controversial social media influencer and critic Salwan Momika took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account and said that Western countries and citizens made a "grave mistake when they opened their doors to Muslims".
According to Anadolu, The Iraqi was recently deported from Sweden for staging a series of public Quran burnings which is the holy book in Islam and among Muslims. Country officials said that Salwan Momika had committed a serious crime as the immigration authorities refused to extend the individual's stay in Sweden.
After burning the Quran, he said "I am not leaving Sweden. I will live and die in Sweden" and accused Swedish officials of having "hidden political propaganda".
Chief Councilor Karin Dahlin added in a press release that "The deportation decision cannot be enforced to Iraq as long as he risks persecution or other protection-based treatment there" .
Quran burner Salwan Momika: Western countries made a grave mistake
The recent post in question was captioned as the following:
"What makes me happy is that Western countries and their people realized that they made a grave mistake when they opened their doors to Muslims, and the biggest problem is when they allowed them to build mosques in which terrorism is taught. Today is not like yesterday and tomorrow the people will revolt," following a picture of Salwan burning the Quran with a cigar in his hand.
With his post came a series of Islamophobic comments about the religion and its people as users took to the comment section and stated:
"We tried to warn them."
"America is not there yet. America will be Islamized by 2030."
"Islam is a curse."
"Thank you for exposing the true nature of Muslims. Westerners have no idea of the dangers when they're letting in Muslims."
"Absolutely, Islam is a religion of slavery."

On the other hand, other users slammed back at the Islamophobic comments made by Salwan Momika and others:
"Did you get your passport? Relax now. The show is over." referring to his recent deportation.
"The only grave mistake they made was letting you into their country. Hope they deport you back. All you do is spread hate."
Following multiple incidents of Quran burnings in Sweden and Denmark, the OIC (Organization for Islamic Cooperation) recently warned that it is necessary to stop the "aggression that spreads hatred and contempt for religions and threatens global peace, security, and harmony".
