Al Udeid Air Base, also known as Abu Nakhlah Airport, is located southwest of Doha, Qatar, according to SKYbrary Aviation Safety and Base Directory. Al Udeid Air Base is the largest US military facility in the Middle East.

According to The Hill website, the military base has played a major role in counterterrorism operations, air campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, in addition to the 2021 evacuation of Kabul before "The Taliban" regained power following the US troops' withdrawal.

The Hill further mentioned that the military base hosts about 11,000 American soldiers and over 100 aircraft, including strategic bombers, tankers and surveillance assets.
