ALBAWABA - A video was widely shared on social media showing Russian President Vladimir Putin along with Deputy General Director of Gazprom Neft Elena Ilyukhina on a boat when the Russian national anthem begins.
In the clip, Elena Ilyukhina started to talk while the national anthem was playing when the Russian leader tells her to stop talking.
In a closer look, Putin was seen telling the Deputy General Director of Gazprom Neft to stop talking while the Russian national anthem was playing.
The video has gained over 1,200 million views and dozens of thousands of retweets and likes.
Discussions were opened on social media platforms where people compared the national anthem is still widely used in Russia compared to the United States.
A person said: "Respect to Putin, hell in America you're lucky if you can even find an event that allows the National Anthem so as to not offend people."
Another added: "I respect the folks who love their motherland, culture & faith!" A commentator also noted: "Thank you, President Putin, for showing @POTUS (U.S. President Joe Biden) how to respect national symbols like anthems and flag."
