ALBAWABA - Russian President Vladimir Putin has "virtually" joined the 2023 BRICS summit triggering wide interaction due to the leader's unusual actions during the meeting.

The Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko has shared a video of the Russian president mocking him for searching his left hand to look at his watch which was spotted in his right hand.

In the clip, Putin was seen staring in his left hand to view the time, however, his watch was seen in his other hand. The video which circulated the internet dragged many questions as people refused to believe that Vladimir Putin would ever be this unfocused.

Gerashchenko wrote: "Putin forgot he wears his watch on his right hand.
Or that isn't Putin? What's going on?"

Some people claimed that the Russian leader might be suffering from an illness but had to attend the BRICS meeting. A person commented: "He has a dot on the back of his right paw. I had a similar mark once after being in hospital with a cannula fitted."

The Ukrainian advisor further said that Putin had joined the meeting through a video call over fears of being arrested after an "arrest warrant" was issued against the president over the war in Ukraine by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Gerashchenko also said that it looks like the voice of Vladimir Putin was changed and seemed different from his usual voice sparking more concerns and doubts that the person who attended the meeting may not be "Putin but his lookalike."

He wrote: "The video published by a Russian news media, uses a changed voice. Meanwhile, the video on the Kremlin's website used Putin's voice."
