Putin gets valuable gift from Syrian ambassador, here's what it is?

ALBAWABA - Russian President Vladimir Putin has received a special gift from the Syrian ambassador in Moscow sparking online discussion. 

RIA Novosti news agency reported that Bashar Jaafari, who is the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria since 2020, has given Putin and other Russian officials "valuable gifts" that reflect Syrian identity.

According to Russian media, Bashar Jaafari has given the Russian leader and two officials three Damasus swords. 

Reports revealed that the gifts came in celebrating the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of "diplomatic relations between Russia and Syria."

Moreover, the gift was delivered during a ceremony held in the Diplomatic Academy Hall of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sword was received on behalf of Putin by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, who also received a similar sword. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also got a similar sword as a gift, according to the Russian agency.
