ALBAWABA - Shocking news emerged from Norway that shook the royal family, Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, was arrested again.
Norwegian police confirmed that it had arrested Marius Borg Høiby amid accusations of rape. The 27-year-old was caught late Monday in Oslo on a preliminary charge of having had "sexual intercourse with someone who is unconscious or for other reasons unable to resist the act."
Police in Norway didn't mention the date of the alleged rape incident, but it mentioned that "the victim must have been unable to resist the act." However, media outlets added that Borg Høiby rejected the accusation.
The identity of the woman in the case remains unveiled as her lawyer Hege Salomon said she is "having a hard time."
It is worth noting that Marius Borg Høiby has no royal title. He is the stepson of Crown Prince Haakon and the son of Mette-Marit from a previous relationship.
This was not the first arrest of Marius Borg Høiby, last August, policemen were notified about a disturbance in Oslo and arrested him.
He faced preliminary charges of bodily harm and criminal damage, but he was released from detention. Details were unclear but police said there was "a relationship between the suspect and the victim."
