ALBAWABA - Nike has landed in hot water after it rejected to produce customized shoes with "Free Palestine" words on it.
Pro-Palestinian activists took to social media platforms to decry a move by the American athletic footwear company after one of the customers asked to add "Free Palestine" to his customized shoes.
A copy of the e-mail was posted on X in which Nike cancelled a request for customized shoes by a person called Laurence. The American company wrote in the email: "We had to cancel your Nike By You order."

It added: "Hi Laurence, your shoes have text that we can't work with." "It was worth a shot, but it goes against our guidelines," Nike maintained.
Though the text was not mentioned in the email, but activists online said that it was rejected over the slogan "Free Palestine."
An activist took to X and wrote: "@Nike REFUSES TO CUSTOMIZE SHOES WITH 'FREE PALESTINE'."
The new case has reignited calls to stick to the boycott campaign not only against the American company Nike, but also other companies, brands and products which directly or indirectly serve Israel especially following the latest war in Gaza.
