ALBAWABA - Social media users and many Americans were worried after a viral close-up picture of US President Donald Trump's hand showed a huge bruise on his right hand.
According to some people, the US President was trying to hide it as the photo was taken during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Washington. Trump welcomed the French President to the White House on Monday to talk about multiple issues including war in Ukraine, European security as well as trade ties.
However, Americans and online users' attention was directed at Trump's huge mysterious bruise, which no one talked about before or even noticed. It triggered wide debate on social media with many asking whether it was related to a health problem or not.
Journalist Aaron Rupar wrote on X account: "Scrolling Getty and couldn't help but notice this photo of a huge bruise on Trump's hand today."
Another one questioned the bruise: "Is Trump hiding a medical condition? Is this why he wouldn’t release his medical records?"
A person posted two old images of Trump in 2020 and 2024 and they both showed the dark bruise on his right hand. Some suggested it could be an IV bruise, which appears following Intravenous therapy.
Amid fuss on social media about Trump's bruise, no official statement has been made to clarify the reason behind the dark spot on the US President's hand. However, The Mirror said it could be simply due to frequent handshakes throughout the day.
