ALBAWABA - An organization in Lebanon has created an advertisement to respond to MTV Lebanon's ad that calls for the end of the law criminalizing homosexuality.
An earlier video was shared days ago by the famous T.V. channel MTV Lebanon urging to abolish the law that criminalizes people for being homosexuals. However, Muyul project has posted a video responding to the MTV Lebanon one.
In the MTV Lebanon ad, two men appear to stand in an elevator before a third one who is wearing a green jacket joins them. The third guy then puts his hand inside his coat and pulls a gun.
Then a few moments later he gets out of the elevator before the slogan "There's crime and there's love" appears when the two men in the back hold each other's hands.
The Lebanese Television channel, which is owned by Michel Gabriel El Murr, a Lebanese politician and businessman, posted the video on social media with a caption supporting the end of the law criminalizing LGBTQ+ in the country.
It wrote: "Based on the words of Pope Francis... 'Homosexuality is not a crime.' Yes to the abolition of Article 534 of the Penal Code, which criminalizes homosexuality."
On the other hand, Muyul video's idea shows somehow the same beginning of the MTV Lebanon ad that calls to decriminalize LGBTQ+, however, it ends in a different way.
Muyul at the end of the ad shows the two men holding hands and going out of the elevator when a family is seen in the back with a little girl holding her family tight and crying.
Slogans appear on the screen reading: "There's a crime that kills a human, while there's a crime that kills a community." "Yes to keep law number 534 and protect the Lebanese family and community's values."
Lebanese prominent Sheikh Hasam Mer'b announced a new FATWA that prohibits watching MTV Lebanon after their ad that calls to decriminalize LGBTQ+.
