ALBAWABA - Shocking footage has been emerging from Los Angeles as firefighters are bracing to combat the wildfire that has been going on for many days. However, a Volkswagen van was able to beat the burning flames.
A photo of the blue Volkswagen van, belonging to American Preston Martin, has taken the internet by storm after the van was able to stay unharmed during the wildfire which engulfed the Malibu neighborhood in California.
Many photos emerged on social media showing houses, cars, metals and other materials turning into ashes, or melting due to the strong flames that broke out in multiple locations across Los Angeles. Meanwhile, LA authorities are still this moment battling time to put them out.
However, this blue Volkswagen van is special, it was able to stay as it was despite the huge blaze, the van's owner told AP: "There is magic in that van." He added: "It makes no sense why this happened. It should have been toasted, but here we are."
Martin said he bought the 1977 Volkswagen van while he was a junior student studying mechanical engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
