Libya identifies suspects linked to Libyan trafficker "Al-Bidja" death

ALBAWABA - Last Sunday, Human trafficker Abdel-Rahman Milad, known as Al-Bidja, was assassinated in Tripoli, Libya, when armed men opened fire on Al-Bidja's car. 

Libyan media reported on Sunday that gunmen shot to death the commander of the Libyan Naval Academy, Abdul Rahman Milad, whose name is associated with human and oil smuggling.

Abdel-Rahman Milad was killed inside his car in the Janzour area west of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, the Libyan authorities confirmed to identify two suspects linked to the attack.

In a statement posted on the official page of the Libyan Attorney General's Office on Tuesday evening, the identities of two suspects in the assassination of Al-Bidja were uncovered and arrest warrants were issued to the Interior Ministry to arrest them.

It also explained that the investigations led to identifying the vehicle used to facilitate the attackers' arrival to and departure from the scene, on the road linking Tripoli and the city of Zawiya. 

In addition, the Attorney General's Office revealed that the weapon used by the perpetrators in killing Abdul Rahman Milad was detected.

Abdel-Rahman Milad began his job as an officer in the Libyan Coast Guard before being promoted to the rank of Commander of the Libyan Navy, but he is known to be one of the world's most wanted human traffickers.
