ALBAWABA - A screenshot being shared across social media platforms of Kurt Cobain allegedly predicting that ex-US President Donald Trump might win the upcoming presidential elections is the talk of the internet.
The photo in question is a quote written by Kurt in 1993 before his unfortunate death in 1994 as he said "In the end, I believe my generation will surprise everyone. We already know that both political parties are playing both sides from the middle and we'll elect a true outsider when we fully mature.
And added: I wouldn't be surprised if it's a business tycoon who can't be bought and who does right for the people. Someone as Donald Trump as crazy as it sounds".
According to Reuters in 2020, the quote turned out to be a false claim as it wasn't written by Kurt Cobain.
Kurt Cobain predicts Trump's victory in the presidential elections (False)
Trump supporters took to the comment section of the post made on X (formerly known as Twitter) to state their opinion about the matter:
"This just made my flesh crawl when I read it. to think that Kurt Cobain would predict the future. The only hope we have is Donald Trump right now I’m personally a fan of Vivek. But he didn’t win, and I think he might be a great man for the future, but TRUMP IN 2024".
Another user brought up that fact-checkers proved that this is false but added, "I'd love this to be true. But the usual "fact checkers" report it to be false (not that they are infallible). We have to vet things & be careful".
