ALBAWABA - A photo of a terrorist holding an AK-47 standing next to four stadiums hosting the Champions League games has gone viral on social media.
The photo was posted ahead of the quarterfinals, with a message that reads "Kill Them All", Spanish newspaper Marca reported.
According to French interior minister Gerald Darmanin, security was reinforced at the PSG v Barcelona game after an ISIS "threat" was made via a picture of a terrorist holding an AK-47 was circulating on social media spreading fear among fans and football players.
Darmanin added the group had threatened all the quarter-final matches on Tuesday and Wednesday, not only PSG's match with Barcelona at the Parc des Princes.
According to social media, the threat was made via Al-Azaim, which distributes messages on behalf of the ISIS group.
They shared the announcement and listed four soccer stadiums in London, Paris and Madrid. The caption on the image reads, "Kill them all."
Moreover, Spanish authorities told reporters that nothing would change in the organization of the matches despite the threat. "They say the events are already accompanied by special surveillance measures because the Interior Ministry has identified them as high-risk events."
