She maintained: "She was on Instagram live when suddenly her phone was snatched, unaware his image was broadcasted everywhere. It turns out, he is a government cleric, linked to the Islamic Resalat Center in Helsinki, connected to the Iranian regime. A small example of how Iranian regime suppressors try to harass and silence the dissidents."
In the footage, an Iranian woman wearing glasses was seen live on Instagram, before a cleric stole her phone and ran away. He then was seen stopping to check the phone without knowing that his face was uncovered to people who were watching the live video.
Many reactions emerged online as people slammed clerics who are joining the Iranian government in restricting the freedom of women in the country.
A person wrote: "A cleric tied to the Iranian regime stole the mobile phone of a protest. The image was caught on Instagram. Many people saw it. It seems that the mullahs of Iran are teaching their followers how to steal."
