ALBAWABA - Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden is facing heavy backlash after his latest extra-luxurious trip to South Africa despite a scheduled grueling deposition for the week in a California lawsuit, local media reported on Saturday.

The New York Post confirmed that Hunter Biden is enjoying a luxury vacation in South Africa since last week, while surrounded by Secret Service protection 24/7.

Photos of Hunter were posted online showing him in Cape Town while being followed by guards, sparking fury amid the case he is facing in California court.

The American outlet revealed that Joe Biden's son has booked a $500-a-night beachfront villa, described on its official website as "ultra-luxurious designer home with spectacular 180 degrees unobstructed views of the sea."

California District Court Judge Herman Vera allowed Hunter to dismiss the case last Thursday after Biden's son claimed he was too broke to continue suing former Trump staffer Garrett Ziegler and his nonprofit Marco Polo.

On the other hand, Ziegler accused Hunter of escaping court to South Africa to “avoid his deposition in this case."

Various reactions emerged on social media with people angered by the luxury life Hunter Biden is living. A person commented: "Why does Hunter have secret service detail?"

Another added: "Trump should pull his secret service protection."
