ALBAWABA - Amid Hezbollah's drone attack on Israel's Golani Brigade last night which resulted in the killing of four Israeli soldiers and injuring more than 60, social media users on X (formerly known as Twitter) took to the platform and compared the incident in question to The Last Supper. 

The news in question took the world by storm last night as videos and posts about it swarmed social media. One user wrote, "The Last Supper. Brought to you with love, by Hezbollah." Following an AI photo of Israeli soldiers eating on a dining table while looking up at a drone. 

The Last Supper is a mural painted by the legendary Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci which symbolizes Christians united with Jesus Christ to ask for his forgiveness before his crucifixion.

According to Al Jazeera, a swarm of drones breached an Israeli military camp in Binyamina, northern Israel resulting in the incident in question. Israel 12's channel claimed that no sirens were heard before the attack commenced.

The IOF has several brigades in its army, but the Golani Brigade, one of the five infantry brigades, is considered an elite force. 

A Journalist based in Amman, Jordan who's working for Al Jazeera said that despite Israel having a "Sophisticated air system," it still struggles to detect or point out drones. 

Since Oct. 7, 2023, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has resulted in the killing of at least 42,000 Palestinians and the injuring of more than 98,000, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza. 

Moreover, Israel also resulted in the killing of at least 2,000 Lebanese people and the injuring of more than 10,000 Individuals since Oct. 8, 2023. The constant attacks also caused the displacement of over a million locals in Lebanon.
