Footage showing a frozen horse in Turkey amid a snow-storm in Erzurum city has broken the hearts of many animal rights groups who called his owner "heartless and inhuman".
A video was also posted on social media showing the horse froze and standing still, unable to move due to snow.
The clip was taken in the middle of the main road in the Shukrupash area without moving, coinciding with a significant drop in temperatures in the city, which has witnessed continuous snowfall over the past few days.
The scene shocked people who passed by where one of them called the veterinary ambulance teams to rescue the abandoned horse, and it was later transferred to provide health care.
It is worth noting that Turkey is witnessing a severe cold wave that has swept most areas in the center of the country, with heavy snowfall and a sharp drop in temperatures, leading to transportation disruption and the closure of schools in dozens of states.
