ALBAWABA - Israel posted yesterday a controversial video from the October 7 attack, which was carried out by Al-Qassam Brigades, where fighters were seen taking hostages from a military point on the border with Gaza.
The video was shared by Israeli channels on social media following the approval by the Israeli hostages' families to post the clips to public. The clip caused wide debate online with suspension that Israel might have edited the clips.
It is worth noting that the video was shared a day after the recognition of Ireland, Spain and Norway of the Palestinian state.
'Girls who can get pregnant': Did Israel manipulate translation in Oct. 7 video?
The official X account of Israel posted the footage and wrote: "Here, these are the girls who can get pregnant." It added in the caption that they "have been held hostage by "Hamas terrorists" for more than 230 days (8 months). Think of what that means for these young women."
According to the official Israeli account, the 5 female Israeli hostages in the clip are Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Daniela Gilboa and Naama Levy.
After the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on Oct. 7, Israel accused Hamas fighters of committing rape and sexual assaults against Israeli female hostages, however, Hamas denied the accusations.
In the clip posted by Israel, pro-Palestinian activists noticed that the clips had been cut and could have been edited to allegedly show that Hamas fighters were "sexually abusing" female hostages.
A pro-Palestinian advocate, named Tamer on X, posted some of the wrong translations, which Israel added to the clip. A fighter was heard saying "هاي الهمل", however, Israel translated it to "These are the zionists."
On another note, activists said that another Hamas member was heard saying something in Arabic, however, an extra noise was reportedly said to be added to the footage and then he was heard saying "No beautiful," but the clip showed that he said: "you are so beautiful".
