ALBAWABA - A Reddit post caused controversy online after uncovering a giant baby Jesus statue in a Mexico church.

According to a Catholic priest, the giant baby Jesus statue is located at the Parish Church of the Epiphany in Guadalupe in Zacatecas City. It was created by artist Román Salvador Barrueto and his team from Chimalhuacán, México state.

What caused the wide storm on social media was that the statue of baby Jesus allegedly cost 218,000 pesos ($11,227). However, it was taken from donations by believers.

The photo of baby Jesus standing behind an altar was recently shared on Reddit, with his big blue eyes and extraordinary hairline, reminded people of "Phil Collins" as many said the statue looks like the English singer.

Despite that the statue was placed in November 2023, the photo of the giant baby Jesus is trending now on social media after a person reshared the picture mocking it.

A Reddit user wrote: "I don't even know what to say. It's uncomfortable." Another added: "That's Phil Collins."

Furthermore, a comment on the Reddit post reads: "It looks like a Netflix adult animation cartoon-like Big Mouth or Paradise PD. He looks like he will forgive your sins and then file your taxes. Very uncanny."
