ALBAWABA - German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has sparked debate after being left out on a plane without an official receive in Qatar.
Social media platforms have been widely talking about the video in which the German president was spotted on the tarmac of Qatar airport for 30 minutes.
In the clip, Steinmeier was seen on the top of the plane's runway standing with arms folded in Qatar awaiting to find an official to receive him upon his arrival to Qatar.
According to the Deutsche Welle, the German president was on the Bundeswehr’s Airbus A350 and left waiting for almost half an hour, then he was welcomed by Sultan al-Muraichai, Qatar’s minister of state for foreign affairs.
However, the German newspaper reported that the flight of the German head of state arrived in Qatar slightly ahead of schedule and that might be the reason behind his awaiting to be welcomed.
