ALBAWABA - A new video recently went viral after showcasing several football fans in South Africa demanding that Israel be kicked out of FIFA. It also sparked a wide variety of reactions on social media, with many praising the group's pro-Palestine stance.
The football fans were filmed holding a pro-Palestine banner that read, "Kick apartheid Israel out of FIFA" in protest of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, which resulted in the killing of thousands of Palestinians since Oct. 7, 2023.

Several other fans held posters with "Palestine will be free" written on them, while others showcased their solidarity by waving several Palestinian flags. The video in question garnered hundreds of thousands of views with several social media users taking to platforms such as Musk's X (formerly Twitter) to voice their opinions.
A social media user on X wrote, "South Africa knows what apartheid looks like."
Another added, "I asked myself why Russia was banned but not Israel. FIFA must do the right thing, ban Israel from all sports codes."
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip has resulted in the killing of at least 51,000 Palestinians and injuring more than 116,000, without counting people under the rubble due to constant bombardments and attacks.
