The anti-ICE protests have wreaked havoc across California and sparked widespread panic and violence in cities like Los Angeles.

According to the BBC, across the span of three days, several vehicles were caught on fire, an Australian journalist was hospitalized after suffering a wound from a rubber bullet, and several protestors were arrested after violently clashing with police officers.

The chaotic incident prompted US President Donald Trump to deploy almost 5000 National Guard troops and Marines to combat the ongoing Los Angeles protests.

The protests erupted after Trump's continued efforts to deport illegal immigrants from the country. According to the president's administration, more than 120,000 immigrants were allegedly deported from the US since April 2025.

According to NBC News, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently arrested a record number of 2,200 people during its immigration raids.
