ALBAWABA - A recent domestic violence incident shook the Egyptian side of social media after a man was arrested by local police over shaving his wife's hair, brutally dragging her into the street and beating her.
The incident in question occurred in the middle of the street with the man not allowing any passerby to de-escalate the abusive scene. Additionally, Reports claim that the violent interaction was in result of a dispute between a blacksmith and his wife.

Pictures of the aftermath quickly swarmed social media outlets as they showcased the wife bleeding from the head with bandages covering it. Moreover, she also shared a picture showcasing the big chunk of hair that her husband shaved off.
Egyptian social media quickly took to several platforms to condemn the husband's abusive and violent behavior toward his wife as they demanded justice for her.
The man was later arrested and taken to North Giza Prosecution to further investigate the issue at hand. He later revealed that he did these heinous acts because his wife was broadcasting TikTok videos despite many attempts of trying to stop her from doing so.
He then added that she didn't listen and also started showing her hair on the video-sharing platform despite being a Hijabi woman.
