ALBAWABA - An Egyptian groom has been under fire following a video showing him getting married to three women at the same wedding party.

The incident where a young man, named Mohamed from Fayoum Governorate, married three girls in one day, and held a single wedding party for them shocked many Egyptians and Arabs.

The three brides; Asmaa, Boussy, and Amira wore their white wedding dresses and danced happily with their groom.

The groom appeared in a video on Jan. 15 confirming that he loved the three and convinced them to marry him on the same day. In the clip, the three brides also expressed their love for the groom and their lack of objection to marrying him.

Hairdresser in the Shubra El-Kheima area north of Cairo Sabreen Hosni, who prepared the brides, told Al Arabiya, that she was surprised when the groom first booked an appointment for a bride named Amira, then after a week he booked for two other girls (Asmaa and Boussy).

Many activists took to social media to denounce the move with some saying it is impossible that a person can love three different women at the same time. While others highlighted that this is an odd move and is unacceptable in the Egyptian community.

On the other hand, a person commented that the video is unreal and is only an advertisement for a wedding dress shop.
