ALBAWABA - A group of three attendants are blasted and will be questioned after violating rules and taking a selfie on the plane wing, local media reported as their photos went viral online.

The crew of Eastar Jet, a South Korean low-cost carrier, opened the emergency door and walked onto the plane wing to take a selfie. The shocking incident happened last Wednesday at Cheongju International Airport, where EastarJet Flight 703 was delayed on the tarmac.

The photos, taken from a distance, show how three uniformed flight attendants climbed onto the left wing of a Boeing 737 to take spontaneous photos.

Seoul-based Eastar Jet clarified that opening the emergency door was part of the flight crew's training exercise during the hour-long delay. However, the selfies were not part of the training and the attendants will be questioned.

"The airline took advantage of the waiting time caused by heavy snowfall to conduct an emergency door training, which is usually difficult to do," a company spokesperson explained.

It is worth noting that plane accidents have been frequently happening during the past few weeks with the latest being a Delta plane which flipped outside down while landing at Toronto airport, injuring 18 people.
