ALBAWABA - A video widely circulated online claiming that Turkey has sent trucks loaded with dozens of thermal underwear to the Israeli armed forces.

In the footage, Israeli soldiers were seen unpacking trucks that were carrying military thermal underwear, then the video zoomed to one and the slogan "Made in Turkey" is seen clearly.

Human Rights Advocate Bilal Nizar Rayan posted the video on his X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: "Hadashut Hebrew website: Containers of military uniforms and thermal underwear for the Israeli army arrived from Turkish factories."

However, the Center for Combating Disinformation of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency released a statement refusing accusations in the video that allegedly said Turkey sent military thermal underwear to Israel.

It said: "The claim that 'Thermal underwear was sent to the Israeli army from Turkey' regarding some images shared on social media is not true," Turkish news website Haber7 reported.

In detail, the center also noted that the video and photos are old, stressing the fact that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a circular on Dec. 4, 2021, to enforce writing "Made in Türkiye", not Turkey, on goods produced in Turkey and exported abroad.

Meanwhile, many people said that the video is possibly very old and that it was produced and sent by one of the private factories in the country.

A person wrote on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that suspicious accounts on the internet are behind promoting the video which is a "deep fake" and claims that Turkey is supporting the occupation army by sending military thermal underwear.
