ALBAWABA - A video from the famous "The Simpsons" American series has taken the internet by storm where people claimed the television series predicted fires in Los Angeles, California.
A person on X (formerly Twitter) posted the footage and wrote: "The Simpsons predicted it all again. This time, it's the Los Angeles fires."
The Simpsons video shows fire spreading very fast and engulfing forests, buildings and everything that stands in the way while people are seen screaming and running. After that, residents were spotted standing amid ruins and destroyed buildings after the fire was put off by firefighters.
The Simpsons footage reminded many people of the fires that are spreading in Los Angeles, California burning 40,198 acres and killing 16 people, and they started to compare sharing photos from both the American series and real fires in LA claiming they really match.
Another photos were shared allegedly showing The Simpsons series showing the famous Hollywood sign on blaze just like what happened in California days ago. However, many said this photo was AI-generated and was not taken from the television series.
Cal Fire further revealed that at least 12,300 buildings and infrastructures were damaged by the flames as firefighters are battling to stop the spread of the fire which erupted in five different areas in the region.
The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner detailed in its report that five bodies were found in the Palisades Fire zone, meanwhile, 11 were in the Eaton Fire zone.
California authorities are battling active fires in four areas; Palisades Fire, which was the first to be reported, Eaton Fire, Kenneth Fire and Hurst Fire. Cal Fire reported that Kenneth Fire and Hurst Fire are almost fully under control.
