ALBAWABA - A video of American protesters at a pro-Palestinian rally in Dearborn, Michigan has gone viral after people were heard chanting "death to America" and "death to Israel."

A rally was organized in Michigan City to mark Al-Quds Day, which falls on the last Friday of Ramadan, in support of Palestine and to oppose the Israeli occupation amid the over six months of war in Gaza.

A video widely circulated showing was shared by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). It shows activist Tarek Bazzi delivering a speech at a podium as chants were heard from the background: "Death to America."

During his speech, the activist slammed the Israeli occupation in Palestine and said "It's not just Genocide Joe that has to go," in a protest against US President Joe Biden's policies in the ongoing war and the arms deals between America and Israel.

"So when these fools ask us if Israel has the right to exist...the chant 'death to Israel' has become the most logical chant shouted across the world today," Tarek Bazzi maintained.

He added: "It is the entire system that has to go. Any system that would allow such atrocities and such devilry to happen, and would support it – such a system does not deserve to exist on God's Earth."

Americans and Social media users were angered by the protest in Dearborn, Michigan. An X user posted: "Here is an activist leading Muslims in a chant pledging "Death to America." I am not making it up, as it's right here on video. I thought it was in Iran, but I was wrong. It's in Dearborn, Michigan, in the United States of America."

Another social media user commented: "This doesn’t surprise me, but it does concern me. This should concern everyone."

Nonetheless, Marina Medvin, an X user, said: "Gaza? Nah. Michigan. They stand on American soil chanting 'death to America.'"

Moreover, many called on the American authorities to take action and deport all the people who were involved in the protest in Michigan.
