A new toy called "Cry-Cry Horse," which local media said it should be laughing, not crying, is being sold at the Yiwu International Trade Market in China.
This doll gained widespread popularity on Chinese social media ahead of the Spring Festival holiday, which this year coincides with the start of the Chinese Lunar New Year, known as the "Year of the Horse".

Cry-Cry Horse toy is being retailed at about 25 yuan ($3.50) for a 20 cm version, and the seller is keeping prices stable despite high demand, according to the CGTN news website.
Dozens of production lines are now running at full capacity to produce this toy, which has become an obsession in China, but even that hasn’t been enough to fulfil people's demand. Orders have piled up to March.
