ALBAWABA - Presidential-elect Donald Trump has once again made headlines after his recent meeting with Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey, who presented him with a special edition of a Diet Coke bottle, sparking debate across social media.
This all comes before Trump's inauguration as the 45th President of the US on Jan. 20, 2025. A photo of Trump and Quincey quickly swarmed social media platforms after the Deputy Director of Communications Margo Martin shared them on Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter).
The special Diet Coke bottle has Washington DC's White House as its main theme and follows gray wrapping with blue, and red color accents. Moreover, it also includes 'Inauguration of President of the United States Donald J. Trump' written on it to congratulate Trump on his victory against Kamala Harris in the presidential elections.

In addition, the special Diet Coke bottle came in a red box with a letter showcasing Coca-Cola's economic significance to the US, claiming to have supported 860,000 jobs across the country, further garnering $55 billion in economic activity, as reported by The Daily Mail.
Anti-Trump social media users took to several platforms including Musk's X to protest Coca-Cola's political views with some threatening to boycott the brand for "taking a side." Here's what some had to say about the matter in question:
"This is why drink Diet Pepsi instead."
"speaking on behalf of the entire diet coke loving community we do not stand with this."
"and this is why Pepsi is better."
On the contrary, several social media users applauded the company's best wishes. One social media user wrote, "I'm so happy for him diet coke is his special interest."
Another added, "MAKE COKE GREAT AGAIN" in reference to Trump's slogan, "Make America Great Again."
Reports claim that Donald Trump loved Diet Coke so much, that he had a special button for it in the White House for occasional ordering.
The special Diet Coke bottle isn't exclusive to Donald Trump, as former US President Barack Obama also obtained a similar bottle before his inauguration back in 2009. According to eBay listings, the Barack Obama-themed bottles were put up for sale for as much as $50 per bottle.
