ALBAWABA - Over a month after the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, the body of the former Secretary-General’s nurse was recovered from under the rubble in Beirut's southern suburb.

Nasrallah was killed on Sept. 27 in Israeli airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, multiple Hezbollah commanders were also killed with the ex-chief in addition to Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander, Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan.

Rescue teams retrieved the body of Muhammad Khalil Khreis, Nasrallah’s nurse, from the site of the Israeli airstrikes, according to local media.

Furthermore, social media users circulated pictures online claiming they belonged to the body of Khreis, who was with Nasrallah on the day of his assassination.

On Sept. 27, the Israeli army struck Lebanon's southern suburb with more than 80 bunker-busting bombs on the site, killing Nasrallah after information that he was holding a meeting with high-ranking Hezbollah leaders on the lower floors of a building.

Ali Karaki, who was the commander of the party's southern front, was also killed with Nasrallah in the September attack.
