ALBAWABA - A video clip of a song featuring the imaginary trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by Egyptian-American comedian Bassem Youssef gained good attention on social media.

The song called "Bibi's Trial" was shared by the Sudanese filmmaker Amjad Al-Nour, who also posted earlier "United Sugar-daddy of America" song.

The clip was directed by film director Bassel Nasser and produced by Ali Shehata and Yousef Al-Shemari.

Palestinian journalist Ayman Al-Hesi commented on the song and said: "This is indeed the global reality of defending the occupier and placing the blame on the victim.
Greetings to you from Gaza."

The song and video clip featured Netanyahu, who is also nicknamed Bibi, during a trial where television host Bassem Youssef is the main ICC judge responsible for the trial as he was seen wearing a judge wig.

The clip starts with pro-Palestinians holding banners and shouting "Free Palestine// Free Gaza". Then Bassem makes an inference and says: "Alright, no need to stand up. It's the ICC in the house."

Youssef maintained: "The sentence!? No-brainer - GUILTY. In my verdict, he'll go straight up to jail." The clip continues to feature how the United States, played by Amjad Al-Nour, is making an effort to defend Israel and Netanyahu amid war in the Middle East.

The rest of the people were also portrayed as being manipulated and being moved the way the US wanted as the background song was heard "Who's the boss of ICC, it must be the Yankee Supremacy".

After Hamas' October 7, 2023, Israel launched massive attacks on Gaza leaving at least 41,870 people killed and 97,166 others injured as of October 6, 2024, according to the Ministry of Health there.

South Africa filed a case in the International Criminal Court (ICC) alleging Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians, following Hamas's 7 October attack. Israel fiercely rejected the claim.
