ALBAWABA - Anger in Yemen after the exposure of Israeli stealing of Yemeni antiquities and placing them for sale in auction.
The Yemeni researcher Abdullah Mohsen revealed that Israel is placing the seventh Yemeni antiquities for auction in Tel Aviv. On Monday, he posted on his Facebook a picture of an artwork saying it is now being placed for action in Israel.
He wrote: "Starting yesterday, Sunday, March 24, visitors with prior appointments began visiting the Archaeological Center’s auction showroom, organized by Israeli archaeologist Dr. Robert Deutsch, on the international auction platform Bidspirit, at the Dan Tel Aviv Hotel."
According to Abdullah Mohsen, the hotel is the first "choice for Bill and Hillary Clinton, Paul McCartney, Madonna, the Rolling Stones, and Lady Gaga."
He further said that despite that at the beginning of the auction, it displayed six antiquities from Yemen and added a seventh antiquity recently which was previously displayed on Oct. 3, 2023, and it received attention in this auction.
The Yemeni antiquity is a bronze statue of a young man, more than half a meter high, dating back to the period from the fourth to the second century BC.
