ALBAWABA - Shocking news is circulating across social media and news outlets amid an American mother from Missouri was charged with mistakingly baking her newborn baby in the oven to death.
The mother in question is Mariah Thomas who is 26 years old, mistook her newborn baby's crib for an oven as reported by Daily Mail UK. One-month-old Za’Riah Mae was later found dead with burn marks across her body in Kansas City according to the police.
Thomas told the police that she "accidentally placed her in the oven instead of the crib".

The police later stated that they found the baby on a car seat inside the house, covered with burnt marks and with her clothes melted into her diaper. The Daily Mail interviewed one of Mariah's devastated friends and they said that Mae was a "very bubbly" baby who used to be "smiling all the time".
Her friend added that the reason behind this devastating incident could've been due to Mariah's mental health issues. Moreover, she claimed that the individual in question "didn’t have the mindset of an adult and thought like a child".
In addition to the brunt marks, the baby's charred blanket was also found and taken as evidence by the police. The American mother was later charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
