Two people were killed and three others were injured in a car crash in Ras Al Khaimah on Tuesday, police said.
Lieutenant Colonel Walid Mohammad Kanfish, director of Al Ma’murah police station, said police received a call reporting the incident at dawn on Tuesday.
Police said the driver was driving at high speed on Ras Al Khaimah Bridge toward Al Nakheel area when he lost control of his car as it was approaching a roundabout.
The car overturned several times and landed in front of the Civil Defence office.
The car was carrying five people when the incident occurred.
Police said two passengers were killed on the spot, while three others sustained critical injuries and were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were moved to the hospital morgue and will be handed over to their relatives for burial.
