Reuters reports that embattled Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi's decree to replace five cabinet ministers was rejected by the Prime Minister and Vice President, Khaled Bahah.
Hadi recently returned to Aden, Yemen after months in exile in Saudi Arabia. Bahah has been operating in Aden since August.
Hadi's cabinet reshuffle announcement included replacing acting Foreign Minister Reyad Yassin Abdulla, according to the Hadi-run Saba News Agency.
"A personal announcement will be issued rejecting the ministerial changes because they are illegitimate," a government source told Reuters.
The decision to replace multiple ministers was made without consulting Bahah.
