Clashes with pro-government tribesmen in Yemen killed 15 Shiite rebels north of Sanaa on Tuesday, a tribal chief told. Al Sagra and Al Abu Hussein tribes clashed with the rebels in Al-Jawf province, east of Saada, when the rebels tried to take control of a house that belongs to the tribes, Abdullah Al Sagra said.

“Tribes clashed with the rebels, killing 15 of them,” said Al Sagra, according to AFP. He added that one tribeman was hurt in the fire exchange which lasted some five hours.

Meanwhile, a Yemeni security source said that "many of terrorist elements" have been killed in clashes in Saade. According to him, the Yemeni troops continue to implement an operation against the Shiite gunmen.
